SHORTENED STAY
In the case that government changes the number of nights required for quarantine stay, and if that falls less than the number of nights you have booked with us, hotel will offer full refund for the extra nights you have booked.


PAYMENT

WINDOWS
Room Comfort comes with Mongkok city view but windows cannot be opened. 
Room Superior and Suite Premier offers Mongkok city view and windows can be opened upon request to let fresh air in.

CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OLD
  • Minor aged 16 to 18 years old can be accompanied or unaccompanied by an adult for quarantine. If unaccompanied, the adult should sign the “Consent form for unaccompanied person staying in Designated Hotel”. The adult should also physically show up to complete the registration and checkout procedure with the minor.
  • For minor aged below 16 years old, it is required by the Department of Health to be accompanied by an adult for quarantine. The adult is required to sign the “Undertaking form for accompany person” and complete the whole quarantine period with the accompanied minor in the same room.
  • If the minor is to be accompanied by an adult during his/her stay, he/ she need to apply for conditional approval from the Department of Health by email to caretaker_apply@dh.gov.hk, before the arrival of the guests. The quarantine guests should bring a copy of such approval for the trip.
  • The accompanying person, after showing the approval obtained from the Department of Health and then signing the “Undertaking form for accompany person”, would join the guest at the designated quarantine hotel or Holding Centre for Test Result.
  • The hotel should return the form to the Department of Health by email to caretaker_apply@dh.gov.hk, failing which the quarantine guests may have to be relocated (e.g. if the guest is a child under 16 and if the hotel policy is that children under 16 must be accompanied by adult) to other hotels or to the quarantine centres.

How Safe it is to Stay with Us?


New Measures in the New Normal, at Dorsett Mongkok Hotel 

We partner with Ecolab, a global leader in infection prevention solutions and expertise, and use their Ecolab’s Disinfectant Cleaner 2.0* to comprehensively clean and disinfect high touch areas in public areas, as well as all guest rooms and air-conditioning system.

*Ecolab’s Disinfectant Cleaner 2.0 is a germicidal /virucide detergent effective in killing 30 pathogens. This product is registered by the US Environmental Protection Agency as reliable and safe.

Air-conditioning System
The air conditioner installed in our hotel rooms uses a fan coil unit system. This type of system places the unit consisting of the fan and the coil directly in the guest room. This means each guestroom have its own independent pipe, which connects to the main fan on the roof of all hotels, allowing fresh air to be drawn from the outside to each room, and through an air filter disinfected with Ecolab’s medical grade disinfectant.

Drainage and Ventilation
All drain outlets are regularly disinfected with 1:99 bleach water and the hotel sewage pipe system is discharged through an independent drainage pipe and vent system. Since there is an independent pipe supplying fresh air to each room, this prevents negative pressure on the airflow and the U-shaped traps from drying out.

Use of Technology
We use Whiz – the AI vacuum cleaner to deep clean carpets. It can effectively remove bacteria, virus, dirt, mold and hidden dust that cannot be collected by conventional human cleaning. In additional, we have installed an AI thermal scanner to detect elevated skin temperature in high traffic public areas.

Test Kits Available 24/7
Project Screen by Circle - The Covid-19 test kit is available for sales at the reception. This 'Do-It-Yourself' test kit has an analytical accuracy of 99.9% with results available within 24-48 hours with a daily laboratory cut-off time of 5pm.

Extra Comfort & Convenience
We have also launched a new foodpanda menu featuring a list of the city’s best restaurants to enhance our guests’ in-room dining experience. There is a vending machine fully-stocked with sanitizing amenities and daily necessities available for sale.

Our Standard Hygiene and Safety Guidelines

  • Using Ecolab disinfectant cleaner 2.0 to clean air con air outlet / return nozzle and dust filter every day
  • Housekeepers will use Ecolab disinfectant sprayer to sterilize every checked out room prior to new guest’s arrival.
  • Multiple disinfectant and anti-epidemic sprayers are installed within hotel areas
  • Increase the cleaning and disinfection frequency of public areas and facilities to once every hour
  • All public areas in the hotel are providing 70-80% alcohol-based hand rub/ gel for guest and staff use, and providing refill service for guests to use when going out
  • A dedicated queue for all arriving guests to take a body temperature scan and fill out a health condition and travel history survey
  • All staff on duty are required to wear surgical masks, and depending on the job function of the staff, further provide them with additional anti-pandemic equipment (including eye protection, protection gown and gloves)
  • All staff reporting duty will need to receive a body temperature scan

Our Commitment to Clean Standards

At Dorsett Mongkok, the safety and hygiene of our guests and associates are our first priority. With this in mind, in the event that a guest is confirmed COVID-19 positive during the stay, the room will be thoroughly sanitized with Ecolab’s (the global leader in infection prevention solutions and expertise) medical-grade disinfectant sprayer. Apart from that, all linens and towels used including pillows, pillow cases, bed sheets, duvet, duvet cover, duvet topper, bed pad, bath towels, hand towels, face towels and bath mat etc. will be immediately disposed and replaced by complete new ones. With all these efforts, we strive to promise you a clean and hygienic stay environment that is COVID-19 free. Hope the above eases your mind before you check in.

To achieve so, please note that a cleaning fee of HK$2,000 and a linen replacement fee of HK$4,000 will be applied to the bill of the guest only if the guest is confirmed COVID-19 positive during the stay. We appreciate our guests’ understanding on this matter.

Family Room - Quarantine Hotel

We arrived at the hotel very tired and late and the hotel staff immediately saw to our need. The room allocated to my family was very well lit and overall better than expected. Even though we weren't expecting any dinner as we had arrived very late the manager on duty arranged warm food for my family. The bonus of this hotel is that the window can be opened to let the fresh air in, especially when you are cooped up in a quarantine. It was such a pleasant surprise to see washing detergent and dishwashing liquid along with other usual amenities. The hotel has been thoughtful throughout our stay. The managers have been checking on us frequently and for Christmas we were gifted with a teddy bear and for New Year the hotel gave us a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this hotel for quarantine and any other time especially for a family of 3 or 4.

Quarantine for 14 in the nice bed room

Room size and layout is excellent. I requested for a high floor and at the end of the hotel building which enjoy an open view of the city. I like the double bed which is movable so that I can utilise the space to do work out. The desk is just perfect which let me do the work in a comfortable manner. The tv is quite new model with HDMI cord input so that i can connect my laptop to the TV for Netflix or other laptop base purpose. The bath room is clean and tidy. The shower is strong with good temperature control. The air-conditioner is quiet and with good control of the temperature you like.

About the service, the response from the housekeeping is quick. Normally, it takes around 15 min for the ordered items to come to my room. Moreover, I also find the time to deliver the goods and foods from the reception is quick as well.

14 days quarantine survival

From booking till during the stay I was good taken care of. Got a great room with open city view, a desk to work on, TV with some English channels (BBC World News, ABC, Etc), nice gifts for Xmas and New Year, Several phone calls to make sure everything is ok and if I got enough supplies. Outside food deliveries to the room. They even unlocked the windows, so I was able to get some fresh air during my stay.
